After being influenced by scads of singing nuns throughout 17 years of Catholic education, midwestern kid-rocker Jim Cosgrove has delighted audiences throughout North America and Europe for more than a decade. After giving up his career as a journalist and corporate PR professional, this Kansas City native had the sense enough to get a “real” job helping kids laugh.
In the early days of his career, Cosgrove’s young fans affectionately nick-named him “Mr. Stinky Feet,” following the success of his 1999 release Stinky Feet. His recordings have earned five national Parents' Choice Awards, a National Parenting Publications Award, and two Parent-to-Parent Adding Wisdom Awards.
Upside Down, Cosgrove’s seventh release and a 2008 Parents’ Choice “Approved”
Award winner, celebrates the wondrous (and sometimes topsy-turvy) moments in a kid's life. Cosgrove drew on his wealth of stories and experiences touring with his family to produce this collection of 13 songs, which includes "Let's Stick Together," a tune inspired by (and often performed with) his four year-old daughter, Lyda. Nashville Parent Magazine says Upside Down “takes children on a delightful musical journey of styles…A fun spin to brighten any day.”
Cosgrove’s laid-back style and ability to immediately connect with children has made him a cool favorite on the concert tour circuit, especially with parents, many of whom have dubbed him the “Jimmy Buffett for kids.” Find out more about Mr. Stinky Feet >
