Elizabeth Schmeidler is a happily married mother of three wonderful sons, who was unexpectedly given a gift of writing and song about 6 years ago...just three years after she began singing at her Catholic Church. With God’s grace at work in and through her, she

has become an author of children’s stories, novels, short stories, and poetry, as well as recorded three CD’s of her original music.

“The Box”, Elizabeth’s children’s story, will be available this summer as part of a coloring/activity book. Her short stories have made their way into Chicken Soup for the Soul books, Guideposts Books, Amazing Grace Books, and Silent Canticle Magazine.

Elizabeth is passionately pro-life and pro-family. When she was teaching Catholic education to 7th graders, she organized a march against pornography and ended up appearing on NBC Dateline in an effort to increase awareness of the destruction caused by all pornography, especially internet pornography. Elizabeth has vowed to use the gifts of writing, speaking, and music that God has given her in order to make a difference--the desire of her heart is to love and change the world, even if it is one heart at a time.

In addition to cantoring at the Churches in Hays and surrounding areas, being a Eucharistic minister both at Mass and to the homebound, she enjoys speaking about God’s goodness and loves using His music to entertain. At this time, she is still writing more music and anxiously awaiting the upcoming recording of her 4th CD.

“God has accomplished in me, what I considered impossible---which is, the courage to sing for audiences, the ability to write and play my music even though I don't know how to play the piano and have no formal music education, the courage to speak the thoughts He has placed on my heart through His Word and Spirit, and the strength to keep trying...against all the odds.”
